What does it mean to be harmonious? What is harmony? The dictionary defines harmony as being in unity or cooperation. Therefore a harmonious lifestyle would have to be one that is in unity & cooperation with the human being living the life. We all struggle with conscious & unconscious conflicts in how we live our lives that disrupt the level of harmony we are able to experience. For example we may say we want to be happy then spend an hour complaining about our job. The desire does not match the behavior and cognitive dissonance results. This process drains vital energy. The way to a harmonious lifestyle is by becoming consciously conscious of your desires and behaviors. As we grow in awareness of our conflicting desires and behaviors we become more empowered to make lifestyle changes that will put them into alignment. Alignment creates more harmony and more vitality into our lives. If happiness is your goal, use less unproductive negative behavior such as complaining & fault finding and implement more thought processes that are solution focused toward bringing happiness into your life. Unity and cooperation between our thoughts & behaviors are the foundation to living a harmonious lifestyle.
